The identified regulations all have varying degrees of effectiveness based on how
they have been applied over developments within the city of Peterborough. Some protections
are much stronger than others as they relate to wildlife habitat. I have divided the
following regulations into a “two tier list” that identifies stronger habitat protections
as first tier, while those regulations that have tangential impact on habitat as second tier.
These tiers are subjective and based on the experiences of the author (Dylan Radcliffe) over
a period of 10 years starting in 2010. This is a simplified map that combines all
protections for clarity.
